- IMPORTANT NOTES TO CONSIDER WHEN PREPARING PROPOSALS The following are a few questions/answers regarding the buildout for the Formalin Storage Room Renovation for the U.S. Geological Survey, Great Lakes Science Center in Ann Arbor, MI: 1) Question: During the walkthrough the studs for the walls of the Formalin Storage Room were identified as not being on 16" center in some areas and even being on 4' centers. The documents do not address this situation. Is it the contractors responsibility? Answer: Eliminate drywall on the ceiling 2) Question: Also the roof of the structure are 2"x4"'s and will not support the new drywall. Please advise as how proceed in the bid process. Answer: East wall requires intermediate 24? studs on center framing for drywall installation 3) Question: Item #15, Page A-1 refers to Merricatt cabinets. Is this correct or are they Merrilat? Answer: Merrilat is the correct spelling
