- NA The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York intends to award a construction contract in response to Invitation for Bid (IFB) solicitation DACW51-02-B-0011 for Maintenance Dredging of Great Kills Harbor, Staten Island, New York Federal Navigation Project. T his acquisition is restricted to SMALL BUSINESS. The NAICS code is 234990 with a small business size standard of $17 Million dollars. The estimated cost range of this project is $500,000 to $1,000,000. The proposed maintenance dredging of the Great Kill s Harbor, will require the removal and placement along the Great Kills Beach of approximately 133,000 CY of material. All material is to be dredged from the 10 ft. deep (MLW) section of the channel with a 2 ft vertically applied allowable overdepth. The successful offeror will furnish all plant, labor materials and equipment and perform all dredging, transportation and placement of the dredged material along the Great Kills Beach. Completion date is 50 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Procee d. The media selected for the issuance of solicitation and amendments shall solely be at the discretion of the Government; accordingly, the media utilized for this project are the internet and CD-ROM. Papers copies of this solicitation and amendments if a ny, will not available of issued. Interested parties may download and print the solicitation at no charge at http://nan.usace.army.mil(contracting opportunities) Project specification files and drawings are portable document files (PDF) and can be viewed, navigated or printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader Minimum system requirements are 486 Based personel computers. Microsot Windows 3.1 or greater, 8 MB application RAM. A registration page is attached to the website and prospective bidders are required to r egister and to receive notice of any amendments and/or addenda that may be issued to this solicitation. Utilization of the internet is the preferred method, however CD's will be available upon written requested stating the solicitation number, or porject name, complete company name and street address (we will not deliver to PO Boxes) telephone and facsimile numbers (including area codes) Make checks payable in the amount of $10.00 to USAED, New York. Solicitation documents for this work will be available on or about 20 May 2002. Registration requirement DFARS 252.204-7004 Required Central Contractor Registration (CCR) applies t othis procurement.
