Description
The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (TACOM-ARDEC), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ has a requirement to obtain proposals from qualified sources with capability for the 36 month effort for the design, development, manufacture, inspection, testing and delivery of the Electro-Mechanical Fuze for the M67 Fragmentation Grenade stating with Non-Developmental Item with an intention to type classify a new EM Fuze. This will be conducted in 3 phases following a 9 months design evaluation occuring before Phase I. Phase II and III will be set-aside as options to the base contract. The contractor is required to submit the technical details of the design along with a projected bottom line production unit cost and the potential for the government to procure licensing rights. The selected offerors will be required to submit fifty (50) Bid Sample Test (BST) units and two (2) inert units, no cost to Government, along with detailed cost, management, and past performance parts of the proposal within 4 months after Government's approval of the contractor's design. A competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available approximately in May 15, 2002. Proposals shall be required within thirty (30) days after release of the RFP, addressed to; Commander, U.S. Army, TACOM-ARDEC, Attn: AMSTA-AQ-APD, Anna Yim, Bldg 10, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000. All responses to this notice shall be done so in writing in the English lanuage. See numbered Note 26.
