Description
17.The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center has a requirement for General Motors Corporation, Electro-Motive Division (EMD) Power Packs, Forks/Blades, NSN 2815-01-423-4546, Part No. 40027608, and NSN 2815-01-423-4752, Part No. 40027609, estimated quantity 8 each. These are EMD factory unit exchange items that may contain reconditioned parts. These parts are required for the EMD diesel engines on the 378? WHEC FRAM and 180? WLB vessels. Delivery shall be required 90 calendar days after receipt of a delivery order. Delivery will be F.O.B. Destination to Receiving Room, Bldg. 86, U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center, Baltimore, MD 21226-5000. Period of Performance is twelve months after contract award. A requirements type contract with one (1) base year and four (4) option years is anticipated. It is the Government?s belief that only General Motors Corporation, Electro-Motive Division or their authorized distributors can provide these parts. Technical data and/or drawings pertaining to the various engine parts are not available within the Government and are proprietary to the Original Equipment Manufacturer, General Motors Corporation, Electro-Motive Division. However, other potential sources having the expertise and required capabilities can submit such data discussing the same in duplicate within 15 days from the date of this announcement. The following information must be provided to evaluate the acceptability of the offered parts: 1) Complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the acceptability of the offered item (i.e. salient physical , functional, and serviceability characteristics, or 2) Data that the offered part has been satisfactorily manufactured for the Government or the Original Equipment Manufacturer. No cost or pricing data is required. See Numbered Note 22. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. ATTENTION: Minority, women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs)! The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
