- Description
- The U.S. Department of Energy intends to award a simplified acquisition on a sole source basis to the National Science Academy. This action is to provide the DOE share of a project concerning guidelines for ensuring and maximizing the quality, objectivity, utility and integrity of information disseminated by federal agencies. The project was started in January of 2002 and consists of workshops and a summary report. This is a notice of intent and not a request for competitive proposals. The proposed simplified acquisition is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested parties may respond by registering via IIPS at http://e-center.doe.gov and submitting their capability statement electronically, referencing the above listed number in this notice, including prices. All submissions must be received within fifteen (15) days of the publication date of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this simplified acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely the discretion of the Government.
