Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Center for Neutron Research (NCNR), intends to award multiple Basic Ordering Agreements (BOAs) for the machining of relatively small parts (0.1 - 20.0 LBS), in small to medium sized series (1-100 pieces). All parts shall be designed by NIST and specifications shall be provided for each design. Examples of these designs include sample holders, cryostat heat shields and alignment fixtures.***The period of performance shall be one (1) year from the date of award with four (4) one year option periods.*** FOB is Destination, Gaithersburg, MD.***This requirement is 100% set-aside for small business .***The NAICS code for this requirement is 332710 with a size standard of 500 employees. ***The competitive Request for Proposal (RFP), RFP amendments, and all questions and answers related to this procurement will be made available via the Internet at http://www.fedbizops.gov/ under RFP number SB1341-02-R-0029.***The RFP is anticipated for release to the vendor community on or about May 20, 2002, and will only be available via the Internet at the above web site. Potential offerors are responsible for accessing the web site. Interested parties must respond to the RFP in order to be considered for award of any resultant contract. There is no written solicitation document available, telephone requests will not be honored, and no bidders list will be maintained.
