- This solicitation is for a one year full service maintenance contract with an option for 4 additional years for the Black Hills National Forest VHF/UHF radio system located in South Dakota and Wyoming. The first year will consist of replacement of nine primary mountaintop including antennas and wave guide, replacement of 14 mobile base stations, 164 mobile radios, and 416 handheld radios. All material will be furnished by the Government except for test equipment, personnel gear, and safety equipment. The base year and the remaining 4 option years will also include preventive maintenance on the existing radios, provide continuous non-interruptible service and repair, and swap mobile units between old and new vehicles each year with an estimated quantity of 40 units per year. Work will be accomplished in the counties of Custer, Pennnigton, Lawrence, in SD and Crook and Weston counties in WY. The NAICS code is 811213. This is a 100% small business set-aside. This is an electronic solicitation only. All documents will be posted to fedbizopps.gov for download from this web site exclusively. The solicitation is expected to be issued approximately 28 Feb 02.
