- Description
- The Department of Air Force is seeking qualified entities for a Military Housing Privatization project at Nellis AFB, Nevada. This project involves a real estate transaction to privatize all of the military family housing areas at Nellis AFB. These are Manch Manor, Nellis Terrace and Dunning Circle. The Government will lease approximately 412 acres of land for 50 years and convey 1,278 existing housing units and other improvements to a private developer. The government will lease approximately 79 acres for up to 7 years for demolition of existing units. The government will also convey 77 acres of land located off the installation. The developer will own and operate the rental hosing development for military families for 50 years, as well as finance, plan, design, and construct improvements in the development. The Government is willing to provide financing assistance in the form of a Direct Government Loan. An Industry Forum will be conducted at the Alexis Park Resort, 375 East Harmon Las Vegas, Nevada on Tuesday 14 May, 2002 from 8 am to 6 pm. The objective of the Industry Forum is to convey pertinent information on the project and its corresponding solicitation and to gain insight into industry?s position on how to improve the solicitation and execute the project. The solicitation is scheduled for release in July 2002.
