- The Department of Veterans Affairs VISN 19 Medical Centers located in Colorado, Montana, Utah and Wyoming seek to negotiate a sole source procurement for patient Telecommunication and/or monitoring system services with Health Hero Network Inc., 2570 West El Camino Real, Suite 111, Mountain View CA 94040. The system includes an in home patient monitor that allows internet access by VA facility healthcare provider to query progress in the instance of patients with chronic illness. System includes equipment lease and purchase of monthly access to the internet for each installed in-home appliance. Any resulting contract will be for supplies/services for which the Government intends to solicit by the authority of FAR 6.302-1. It is the belief of the Government that there is currently only one responsible source capable of providing the supplies and services to satisfy the agency requirements. This announcement is not a request for competitive quotations but responses received on or before May 10, 2002 will be evaluated. A determination not to compete this proposal will be soley at the discretion of the Contracting Officer. Information received will be considered only for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
