- Description
- The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, tools, and incidental supplies necessary for Overlay Paving and Guardrail Installation on the Highland Scenic Highway (State Highway 150) on the Marlinton Ranger District of the Monongahela National Forest in Pocahontas County, West Virginia. The total project length is approximately 12.34 miles with the overlay paving being approximately 7.0 miles. The work consists of, but is not limited to: 1) aggregate base course for shoulders; 2) crack cleaning and filling; 3) hot mix asphalt patching and leveling courses, where needed; 4) hot mix asphalt wearing course on designated portion of the road; 5) guardrail removal/repair/installation and resetting; 6) striping (painting) of centerline, edgelines and handicapped parking areas; 7) herbicide treatment of roadside; 8) ditch cleaning; 9) replacing inlet grates; and 10) replacement of log curbs. The Contractor will have 45 calendar days to complete the project. There will be a pre-bid meeting/site visit held at a date, time, and location specified in the solicitation. The NAICS Code for this project is 234110, Highway and Street Construction. This project will be solicited using the Invitation for Bid format, on an unrestricted basis, with no set-asides. The solicitation will include Base Bid Items and Additive Bid Items. The estimated dollar value of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.
