- Description
- The services will provide for Harbor Pilot and Dockmaster Services for docking and undocking U.S. Navy active fleet ships, U.S. Naval Reserve training ships, and Military Sealift Command chartered vessels when under the operational control of COMNAVSURFLANT. These services will be performed in waters between Beaufort Inlet, NC lighted Whistle Buoy BM (Latitude 34:34.49N, Longitude 76.41.35W), and berths at Radio Island and North Carolina State Ports Authority Terminal, Morehead City, NC. Performance Period is 01 June 2002 through 31 May 2003. The solicitation will include provisions for a base year with the option to procure services for four additional one-year periods. These services are sole source to Morehead City Pilots Association. The solicitation will contain FAR Clause 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services and will be issued as other than full and open competition (sole source). Solicitation issuance is anticipated on 28 February 2002. Prospective offerors interested in receiving a copy of the solicitation shall submit an e-mail to the contract specialist at: bill_shearer@nor.fisc.navy.mil, (referencing solicitation no. N00189-02-R-0009). No hard copy of the solicitation will be issued. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (05-FEB-2002).
