Description
The United States Postal Service (USPS) will be prequalifying suppliers for a forthcoming production of Express Mail labels (forms). The contemplated five-year contract is for the manufacturing of labels that meet or exceed USPS requirements. This contract will require a supplier fully capable of producing more than nine million of these labels per month. The majority of labels produced will be delivered to Postal Service fulfillment centers in IN and CA. Other labels will be imprinted for direct fulfillment to customers. Order imprinting and fulfillment for labels is also required. The supplier must have the ability to electronically receive orders, imprint labels for individual customers, have the barcode numbers tracked and traced for these labels, and provide reports showing customer fulfillment and label usage by customers. Current minimum / maximum for each order of label imprinting is 25 to 250 labels. Labels are:  4-ply and 8-ply pressure sensitive produced on carbonless and bond paper with press applied carbonless coating;  three color;  continuous and cut sheet format;  are 7-5/8 x 5-1/2? and 10-3/8 x 6?. The supplier must be capable of:  Producing (have the equipment, with open capacity) a minimum of nine million of these types of labels per month;  Providing 100% in-line verification of barcodes and human readable numbers;  Providing electronic receipt of orders, order fulfillment, label imprinting, tracking and tracing and electronic order reporting of customer fulfillment and label usage by customers.
