- Description
- The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to issue a modification to Pitney-Bowes Software System of 750 Warrenville Road, Lisle, IL 60532. SSA has a single central processing unit (CPU) Government owned license for Steam Weaver software. This is proprietary software licensed to SSA by Pitney Bowes. The license that SSA has for Steam Weaver software is for a Hitachi SL 827 CPU for 975 million of instructions per second (MIPS). SSA is purchasing an additional 296 MIPS capacity for this license from Pitney Bowes because this software was transferred from Hitachi SL 827 CPU to an IBM z900 264-1C6 CPU at 1271 MIPS. Since this is propriety software Pitney Bowes is the only known source that can upgrade this license from 975 MIPS to 1271 MIPS. Note 22.
