- NA An Industry Briefing has been scheduled by the New York District Corps of Engineers for Tuesday, 30 April 2002 at 1:30 PM at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey?s Offices at 233 Park Avenue South, New York, New York 10003, 7th Floor, Conference R oom A. The purpose of the briefing is to provide Dredging Contractors, Dredged Material processors, and Dredged Material Disposal/Beneficial Use Site Operators with information for the upcoming 1st construction contract for the Arthur Kill Channel, Howland Hook Marine Terminal, NY and NJ Navigation Project. Discussions will be held on two major issues: dredging techniques, logistics and constraints which are anticipated on the dredging of the channel to maintain safe navigation and keep the channel open to users during construction, and the logistics and other requirements that will be necessary to effectuate beneficial placement of the dredged material at the Pennsylvania/Fountain Avenue landfills in Brooklyn, New York and other upland sites.
