- The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to contract for Consolidated Facilities Management Services (Base Maintenance) at the Harold Washington Social Security Center (HWSSC) in Chicago, Illinois. The contractor shall provide management, supervision, workpower, equipment, administrative and technical functions in the following categories: 1) Facilities Management 2)Operations, Maintenance and Repairs of Mechanical Equipment 3) Elevator Maintenance and Repairs 4) Janitorial and Related Services 5) Building Repairs and Alterations 6) Armed Security Service 7) Protective Signaling and 8) Payment of Utilities. The HWSCC is a 10 story, 750,000 square foot facility. This notice serves as a Sources Sought Synopsis seeking information from small business concerns, which may be capable of providing these services. Information received from other than small business sources will not be considered. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 561210. The small business size standard for this NAICS code is $23M. Interested small business concerns that believe they have the ability to perform these service can identify their capability to Patricia Bullock, Contracting Officer, via regular mail at SSA, Attn: Patricia Bullock, 1710 Gwynn Oak Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21207-5279. Responses must include a capability statement, management chart and breakdown of the company and a statement of financial resources which clearly and decisively indicate that the company can perform these services successfully. The company shall also provide the name, address and telephone number of any and all references where services of similar size, scope and complexity are currently being provided or where they have been provided within the last 5 years. Responses must be received no later than 3:00 p.m., local prevailing time on Friday, May 6, 2002. Requests for copies of a solicitation will not be honored or acknowledged. The Government does not intend to pay for information received. This is neither a Request For Proposal (RFP) nor an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not any small business firms have the ability and capability to perform these services successfully.
