- Description
- The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) has a requirement for theoretical analysis, systems research and development, computer modeling and simulation, and test and evaluation of platforms, weapons, sensors, electronic warfare systems, and their related interactions. The unique nature of this research requires access to NRL hardware and classified computing resources and databases dictating that a major portion of the labor tasks be performed on-site at NRL. The contractor shall provide, on a level-of-effort basis, approximately 9600 scientific, technical, engineering, and support hours for the base award and approximately 19200 per year for each option, if exercised. A detailed statement of work will be issued with the solicitation. Paper copies of the Request For Proposal (RFP) will not be provided. The Government anticipates an award of a Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) type contract. Personnel proposed to work on the resultant contract shall have at least a Secret clearance or shall be capable of obtaining at least a Secret clearance prior to contract commencement. Period of Performance will be one (1) year with four (4) one-year options. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 541710. The NRL uses Electronic Commerce (EC) to issue RFPs and amendments to RFPs. Paper copies of the RFP will not be provided. The proposed contract listed here is to be awarded under full and open competition. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered by the agency. The response date published in this synopsis is the current estimated date. The actual due date for proposals will be stated in the solicitation when issued. NOTES: 25 and 26 apply.
