- Description
- The Department of Defense, Naval Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division (NAVEODTECHDIV) is requesting information from vendors and manufacturers on a device that has the capability to mitigate the blast and debris scatter from an explosion or disruption. Descriptive literature should include product data sheets, product test results, reliability, company point of contact, and pricing information. Desired system parameters: 1) easily carried and deployed over the suspect item 2) be able to fire existing dearmer/disrupters at suspect item without affecting accuracy or power of the disruption tool 3) mitigates or vents the blast and fragments from an explosion/disruption so any debris from the event can be found and identified close to the event. The data collected from this market research effort will be utilized to better understand the ability of commercially availa ble items to meet projected needs. Desired system parameters do not necessarily represent the minimum acceptable capabilities. This announcement is NOT a formal solicitation and is NOT a request for proposal. Availability of any formal solicitation will be announced separately. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes ONLY and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government.
