Description
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), formerly known as the Health Care Financing Administration, intends to award a 5 year (base year plus four option years) cost plus fixed fee contract for ?train the trainer? sessions to train Fiscal Intermediaries, carriers, members of state and national associations, and CMS staff on various Medicare initiatives. CMS has determined that the most effective way to ensure that FIs, carriers, state and national associations and all other interested parties have a consistent understanding of Medicare payment systems, is to have a contractor conduct "train the trainer" sessions. Therefore, CMS seeks a Contractor that will develop and assist in carrying out a training and support plan that will ?train the trainers?. The Contractor shall be responsible for developing a training plan and shall assist in the plan?s implementation. To implement the plan, the Contractor shall arrange for and conduct training conferences; shall participate in satellite broadcasts; shall develop a training manual; shall publish articles and brochures; and shall participate in post-training conference activities such as providing answers to questions that arise during the period of performance of this contract. The Request for Proposal (RFP) is expected to be issued on or about May 1, 2002. Interested vendors are requested to email Matthew Maciarello, Contract Specialist at mmaciarello@cms.hhs.gov.
