Item 0001 NSN 1560-01-034-2437AW, P/N 204-70099-124S, NOSE COWL assy engine inlet consist of leading edge, inner and outer skins supported by bolt heads and frames. DIM: WD 60 IN LG 25 IN HG 61 IN WT 112 LBS MAT: ALUM. FUNCT-ION: Air inlet for engine. NHA: 204-70195-1. T.O. 1E-3A-4-71-02 FIG 32, ITEM 5. Quantity 6 each applicable to the E-3A. Destin: Tinker Air Force Base OK 73145-3020. Delivery: 31 May 2002. The approximate issue/response date will be 4 Feb 2002. Written procedures will be used for this solicitation. This is a restricted acquisition to only the sources that are OC-ALC approved for structural bonded E3 panels. Authority:10 U.S.C. 2304 ( C ) (1), Justification: Supplies required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible source(s) an no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Specifications, plans, or drawings relating to the procurement described are incomplete or not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. Master or coordinated tooling is required to produce this part. This tooling is not owned by the Government. No telephone request. Only written or faxed requests received directly from the requestors are acceptable. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
