Description
NA NOTE: Any prospective bidder/offeror interested in obtaining plans and specifications for this solicitation must register on our website at https://ebs.sas.usace.army.mil/. Contractors may view and/or download this solicitation and all amendments from th e Internet after solicitation issuance. Plans and specifications will be issued on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) and will be provided free of charge. ONLY 50 CDs WILL BE ISSUED. CDs will be issued only to prime contractors and plan rooms on a first come first s erved basis. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available. Description of Work: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, requires a contract for the Consolidated Troop Medical Clinic (TMC) located at Fort Stewart, Georgia. Work c onsists of construction of a one-story Consolidated Troop Medical Clinic (4,515 GSM). Construction will consist of a reinforced concrete foundation, concrete floor slab, structural steel, steel roof framing, and a standing seam metal roof system. The ext erior walls will be brick with a metal stud backup. All exterior glazing will be laminated thermally tempered glass. The roof will be mechanically fastened standing seam metal roof system on steel deck and steel bar joists. Automatic sprinkler systems wi ll be provided throughout the new facility. Multiple AHU?s with a fully ducted return air system will be specified. Heating system will consist of hydronic water generated through heat exchangers using the District hot water system. Cooling system will consist of District generated chilled water and an air-cooled water chiller. Supporting facilities include electrical service, security lighting, fire protection and alarm system, communications, utilities management control system, water, sewer, storm dr ainage, paving, sidewalks, curbs and gutters, landscaping and other site improvements. Options will be included in the solicitation. Estimated cost range of the project is from $5,000,000.00 to $10,000,000.00. Network Analysis will be required. This sol icitation is issued on an unrestricted basis pursuant to the ?Business Opportunity Development Reform Act of 1988.? This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be available on or about May 20, 2002, on the Internet at https://ebs.s as.usace.army.mil/. Notification of amendments will be through use of the Internet. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, faxes, etc.) will be provided. It is the contractor?s responsibility to check the Internet address provided below as necessary for any posted changes to this solicitation and all amendments.
