- NA The United States Army Corps of Engineers intends to award a firm fixed price contract for construction of a Consolidated Troop Medical Clinic at Ft. Riley, Kansas. All bids from responsible bidders will be considered (full and open competition for all bu siness sizes). Tentative date for issuing invitation for bids is 03 May 2002, with bid opening at 2:00 p.m., CST, on 04 June 2002. Work consists of construction of a 27,000 square foot, one-story medical clinic, with pharmacy and examination rooms. The building will be of steel frame superstructure, with steel stud framing and exterior insulated finish system (EIFS). The work includes, but is not limited to, site work, concrete work, masonry, metal work, carpentry, thermal and moisture protection, glas s and glazing, painting, equipment, heating ventilating, air conditioning, and electical work. A formal pre-proposal site visit will be scheduled and announced when the solicitation is released. Project does include CPM planning. Project includes the af firmative action plan for Topeka, Kansas, US Department of Commerce Economic Area. Estimated time of completion is 500 calendar days. Project dollar magnitude is between $5 million and $10 million. Specifications and drawings, issued on CD-ROM only, wil l be available without charge on or about 03 May 2002.
