Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. THERE IS NOT A SOLICIATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. THIS IS NOT A FORMAL REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP). The 1st Contracting Squadron located at Langley AFB, VA is in the process of determining acquisition strategy for the re-competition of the Packing and Crating contract. The requirements include packing and crating for outbound/inbound household and unaccompanied baggage from both stateside and overseas and local moves. The following is a list of counties and cities in CPPSO-Langley?s area of responsibility: Charles City, Gloucester, James City, King & Queen, King William, Lancaster, Matthew, Middlesex, New Kent, Poquoson, Hampton, Newport News, Williamsburg, and York. Three indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) type contracts for a basic year period with four one-year options is contemplated. The current contract expires in December 02. Delivery order prices will be based on a pre-priced bid schedule. The statement of work is the generic statement of work approved by MTMC. All contractors who are interested must have completed all the proper paperwork with Headquarters Military Traffic Management Command at Alexandria VA. Minor alterations have been made to fit the requirements of Langley AFB, VA. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 484210 with a small business size of $18.5 million. Performance Bond is required. Response to this synopsis will determine if this solicitation is set aside for 8a, small disadvantaged business, small business or unrestricted. In order for this requirement to be considered for 8(a) set-aside, interested certified 8(a) small businesses that are in the Small Business Administration (SBA) Richmond, VA district should provide a statement of interest and a capability package. Capabilities packages are limited to five pages and, as a minimum, should include the following: (a) degree of experience in providing same or similar services; (b) past corporate and Government contracts with current references and points of contact; (c) evidence of financial capability and technical/management resources to support a requirement of this nature and size; (d) verification that you are a certified 8(a) small business under the NAICS code 484210 located in the SBA Richmond, VA district. All 8a contractors and all other interested parties (except item (d)) should transmit all of the above information to Pat Waling by email patricia.waling@langley.af.mil or via fax at (757) 764-4965. All capabilities statements should be received no later than 30 days from the issuance of this synopsis to be used in consideration of the set-aside determination. Any capabilities information received is solely for the purpose of this market research and will not be used in the final RFP evaluation and award. All documents associated with this projected requirement will be posted on the FedBizOpps website, http://eps.gov/. Should the responses and subsequent market research result in a set-aside determination, a subsequent synopsis will be published.
