Description

The Government intends to issue Solicitation N65236-02-R-0061 as a sole source commercial item contract to DWS International Inc., 31B Centaurus Drive, Corpus Christi, TX, 78405, for the following items: Klein K5250 5 Beam series 5000 towfish, p/n 14102644, Klein K5000 fin set w/end cap, p/n 14102650, and Klein K5000 Responder/Pinger Kit Assy, p/n 14102636. A Fixed Price contract is anticipated for a quantity of two (2) each towfish, fin set, and responder/pinger kit assembly. The side scan sonar must simultaneously meet the following minimum critical operating characteristics: (a) along track resolution of 20 cm, (b) cross track resolution of 7.5 cm, (c) 200 meter swath width at an operating speed from 3 to 10 knots at full (along and cross track) resolution, (d) ability to connect a responder beacon, (e) operator selectable pulse width, and (f) side scan sonar operating depth must be 200 meter or greater. The total estimated value is $329,916. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334511 and the size standard is 750 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Delivery will of these items will be 30 days after date of award.
