- SUBJECT: REFURBISH FOUR ELEVATORS BUILDING NUMBER 1050, NAVAL AIR STATION, JOINT RESERVE BASE, FORT WORTH, TX DESC: Information for this requirement and the Solicitation Package with Specifications and one sketch will be available on or about May 6, 2002 and you must be registered in the Electronic Solicitation (ESOL) website to obtain information on this procurement. The procurement will be listed under N62467-02-B-8813 at the web site: http://www.esol.navfac.navy.mil. Estimated price range is between $100,000 and $250,000. The proposed requirement is UNRESTRICTED. The SIC is 1796; the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 235950 (Building Equipment Other Machinery Installation Contractors) - $12.0 Million. The performance period is 180 calendar days plus 15 calendar days for bonds. The work involves repair of four elevators and bringing them up to code and consists of cleaning and refinishing, removing damaged, defective, or deteriorated materials or parts and installing new materials or parts as approved. WORK MUST BE PERFORMED BY ELEVATOR MECHANICS SPECIFICALLY QUALIFIED AND TRAINED TO WORK ON ELEVATOR SYSTEMS AND EQUIPMENT. DOCUMENTATION OF PERSONNEL?S QUALIFICATIONS SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH THE CONTRACTOR?S BID. TELEPHONE REQUESTS FOR THE PACKAGE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Interested contractors are encouraged to attend an extended 2-3 hour (if needed) site visit scheduled for Tuesday, May 21, 2002 beginning at 1:00 P.M. Texas time. Parties will meet at Building 1215 (ROICC), Naval Air Station, Joint Reserve Base, Fort Worth, Texas fifteen minutes before 1:00 PM. To be able to enter the base, the following must be faxed to 817-782-7680 (Attn: Marvelyn Walker) not later than May 16, 2002: Solicitation number, firm?s name, firm?s address, name and social security number of each person requesting entry, WITH A POINT OF CONTACT (NAME AND TELEPHONE) in case of an emergency. All persons must have a valid photo identification (drivers license) in possession. Must show proof of current insurance and registration for vehicle being driven. Contractors MUST be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) prior to award. See Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 28.102-2 for Performance and Payment Bond amount requirements. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will be posted solely on the website.
