NA Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; invitation for bids or written solicitations will not be issued. The solicitation number is DACW27-02-T-0035. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The due date for all quotes will be 4:00 PM ( Local Time) May 2, 2002. The NAICS code is 421510. The business size is 100 employees. This RFQ is 100% set aside for Small Business. All responsible sources may reply. All interested parties shall submit a signed and dated quote to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Attn: CELRL-CT/Crum, 600 M. L. King Jr. Place, Room 821, Louisville, Kentucky 40202-2230. Quotes may be submitted on letterhead stationary and must indicate solicitation number, due date and time of RFQ, name, address and telephone number of q uoter. This is an all or none requirement to be awarded to one (1) vendor. Contract line items and quantities are as follows: ALL PRODUCTS ARE TO BE DOMESTIC MADE. Line Item 0001 ? Domestic Wire Rope, 1-1/4 Inch Diameter, 6x26-EEIPS/IWRC, 175,000 pound minimum breaking strength, 800 ft. continuous length on steel spool. $ ___________ per foot. Line Item 0002 ? Domestic Wire Rope, 1-1/4 Inch Diameter, 6x26-EEIPS/IWRC, 175,000 pound minimum breaking strength, 6,800 ft. continuous length on steel spool. $ _____________ per foot. Line Item 0003 ? Domestic Wire Rope, 1-3/8 Inch Diameter, 6x26-EEIPS/IWRC, 211,000 pound minimum breaking strength, 6,200 ft. continuous length on steel spool. $ _______________ per foot. All wire rope shall be coated with B Lu be. GENERAL: The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, and materials and perform all operations necessary to furnish and deliver wire rope as specified. Shop Inspections - unless waived in writing by the Contracting Officer, a Government Representati ve will check the wire rope in the shop to determine the correctness of the fabrication. 2. PACKING AND MARKING ? The new wire rope lengths shall be furnished on commercial-type steel spools and packed in a manner acceptable to common or other carriers t o ensure safe delivery at its destination. The reels shall be marked to identify the type, size, and length of the wire rope. Delivery shall be FOB Destination, Louisville Repair Station, 2601 Shippingport Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40212-1010. Deliver y of all items is required NO LATER THAN 6 WEEKS AFTER RECEIPT OF ORDER. A firm-fixed price is anticipated to result from this solicitation. The following clauses apply to this acquisition and some fill-ins are required and must be included with the quot e. FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors ? Commercial Items. FAR 52.212-3 Alternate I (Fill-in) Offeror Representations and Certifications ? Commercial Items. FAR 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions. FAR 52.212-5 (DEV) Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes of Executive Orders ? Commercial Items. 3. EVALUATION OF PRICE: Prices shall be evaluated by multiplying them by the quantities shown for the respective items listed. Discounts for early payment, if offered, will not be con sidered in the evaluation for award. DETERMINATION OF AWARD: Award will be made without discussions to the responsive/responsible quoter whose quote, conforming to this solicitation, which will be most advantageous to the Government, considering price. A ny solicitation amendments issued by the Contracting Officer must be acknowledged by quoters. Before contract is awarded, the contractor must be CCR registered. You may register via the internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Quoters must hold their quote price 60 calendar days from the due date of the quotes. A statement specifying the extent of agreement with all terms, conditions and provisions included in th e solicitation shall be provided by the quoter. Any quote that fails to furnish required representations and certifications, or which rejects or changes any terms and conditions of this solicitation, may be rejected and excluded from consideration. A wri tten notice of award shall result in a binding contract without further action by either party. Quotes shall specify business size and classification. FACSIMILE QUOTES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
