Description

NA Mike Heussner, Electronic Engineer or Dwight Deatherage, (732) 532-1138/1626. This market survey is to locate additional sources for Horizontal Situation Indicator (HSI) Mode Select Panel Assembly, NSN 5985-01-135-2142, Boeing part number 145E3134-3 or ?4, Litton part number 86900000-02. The panel assembly must comply with MIL-L-857 62A Aviation Night Vision (ANVIS) requirements for radiance & chromaticity, luminance, and sunlight readability. Detailed technical data for the manufacture or acceptance of these units are not available from the Army. Suppliers capable of furnishing thes e units must so indicate, by writing to Commander, USA CECOM, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-CCS-N-AA, Building 1200E, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703-5007. The response must include documentation such as test results, copy of purchase order if the supplier was a vendor to the li sted source or a statement from listed source demonstrating that the supplier can, in fact, supply the Army with units that will be physically and functionally interchangeable with the units from the previous supplier. Successful supplier may be required t o warrant that these items supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Army.
