Description

The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA, intends to purchase three (3) each, amplifier, power unit, pedestal, part number 54636-1003-102. NSN: 5895-01-407-3791, ASN: R400-5A7. This item is being purchased for the National Weather Service to be delivered to the National Logistics Support Center in Kansas City, Missouri. As these parts are in support of the current NEXRAD Program, alternative or like items are not acceptable. The intended acquisition is for supplies for which the government intends to acquire under the guidelines of FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions. The government knows of only one source capable of providing the referenced item, DRS Surveillance Support Systems. The required item is proprietary to DRS. The government has no drawings or specifications for this item. All interested concerns must submit written documentation demonstrating its capability to provide the exact make and model listed. Interested firms should submit the following information within ten (10) days of this publication: (1) Company name, address, point of contact, telephone number and business size; (2) Name, telephone number and point of contact for businesses or other government agencies to which it has previously provided the same supply. This information is to be submitted to Jackie Shewmaker at the address stated herein. Information may be faxed to (816) 426-7530. No response will be given to firms that do not provide all required information. This is not a request for quotation and no solicitation is available at this time. The government reserves the right to solicit quotations based on receipt of affirmative responses to this notice, or award a contract to DRS Surveillance Support Systems, whichever is determined to be most advantageous to the government without further notice.
