- Description
- This project involves the repair of a single purpose earthen dam. The objective of this design is to repair wave and slope slide damage on the upstream side of the embankment structure. Reconstruction of the vegetative berm and front slope will require excavation and foundation preparation prior to earthfill. The repair will consist of approximately 1,010 cubic yards of excavation, 2,495 cubic yards of earthfill, removal and installation of 2,572 linear feet of fence, installation of 3,004 square yards of erosion mat, and the establishment of vegetation on the repaired areas. There will be two option line items; (1) pumping system for removal of water, and (2) removal of water by pumping, approximately 48,679 gallons. The option items will be considered to evaluate the quotes for award purposes. However, the options items may or may not be exercised. The NAICS Code is 234990. Performance period will be 51 calendar days from receipt of the Notice to Proceed, approximately June 17, 2002. The project is set-aside for small business concerns. A payment bond of 100% of the quote will be required of the contractor awarded the contract. Price range is $25,000 to $100,000. Site showing will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., May 8, 2002, at the NRCS Field Office, 4321 West Highway 22, Corsicana, Texas.
