- The USDA, Animal Market Service (AMS), Cotton Division, Memphis, TN intends to procure 43,000 woven polypropylene cotton sacks constructed as per specifications. For specifications please call Jason Wilking 612-370-2217. A sample is required for government testing and approval with the submitted proposal. Upon approval of the sample and award of a purchase order, delivery shall be FOB destination to the ten USDA Offices listed in the specifications. NAICS Code 326199 with a small business size standard of 500 employees . A firm fixed price contract will be awarded, the expected period of performance will be from May 20, 2002 through Sept. 30, 2002. Simplified procurement procedures will be used as well as commercial item acquisition regulations per FAR 12. THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-03. Award will be made to the technically acceptable lowest priced responsive responsible offerer that conforms to all the requirements of the solicitation. Technical acceptance will be determined by the sample submitted by each offerer as to conformance to the specification. Proposals and samples are due by Friday, May 14, 2002 2:30 PM CST.
