- 87--The USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspections Service (APHIS), National Veterinary Services Laboratory, (NVSL), Center for Veterinary Biologics Laboratory in Ames, Iowa, intends to acquire an estimated 300 Liters of Fetal Bovine Sera to be used for cell culture and the optional quantity of 50 Liters. Serum samples representative of each lot shall be delivered by the Contractor to the Government in accordance with specified quantities. Upon completion of the Government testing, the Contractor will be notified of approval for delivery or rejection of the lots sampled. This procurement is set aside 100% for a small business. Contract period is for 1 year with the option to renew for an additional 4 years. This is firm-fixed price contract. It is anticipated that the formal Request for Proposal (RFP) will be posted to the USDA, APHIS, Minneapolis World Wide Web site at the following location: www.APHIS.GOV/MPLS/CONTRACTS/SOLICITATIONS on or about June 3, 2002. The Government intends to provide the solicitation (its attachments) and all amendments via this web site only. NOTIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE SENT REGARDING THE ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENTS. IT IS THE QUOTER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THIS WED SITE PERIODICALLY FOR UPDATES. A hard copy of the solicitation will not be provided unless specifically requested in writing via facsimile to ?Contracting Section' at Area Code 612/370-2106.
