Description

Provide all personnel, equipment, tools, furniture, materials and supervision necessary to install one of the four sets of furniture in 29 rooms as designated by the government representative. Specific furniture for each room shall be determined by the government. Furniture styles (i.e., arrangement and size of drawers on various pieces, etc.) will be consistent for the entire duration of the contract. All beds will include box springs, mattresses (Simmons Deep Sleep, or equal) and rails. Styles shall match or be equal to the items depicted in the photographs included in the request for proposal (RFP). Measurements for furniture may vary up to one (1) inch. Furniture depicted in the solicitation was manufactured by Black Hawk or Wallbed. Prospective bidders will include in their proposal descriptive literature, manufacturer, product number, etc. on the furniture to be provided. Sets of furniture will include horizontal and vertical murphy beds, twin beds with headboard, 7 drawer chests, 2 drawer night stands, pier tower 3 drawer and 3 adjustable shelves and hutches. The RFP will be available on April 29, 2002. Prospective bidders must request bid packages in writing (fax and e-mail requests are acceptable) prior to that date. There will be a pre-bid conference/site visit on May 15, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. Prospective bidders are not required but are encouraged to attend this conference. Potential contractors will have the opportunity to see the facility. The successful bidder will be responsible for performing in accordance with the contract whether or not he/she attended the conference. Proposals will not be accepted after close of business May 29, 2002. The RFP includes Commerical Item clauses 52.212-1 through 5 with attached addenda. This is a 100% Small Business Set Aside procurement.
