- NA The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Coastal Systems Station, Panama City, Florida has a requirement for 6200 flash hoods to be used by firefighters/damage control personnel aboard U.S. Navy ships. The flash hoods are placed under the firefighter's helmet to protect them from the heat. The flash hoods shall be made from PBI gold which is a special material for heat protection. Delivery of the flash hoods shall be within 60 days after the contract award date. A technical proposal is required. Requests should include the prospective offeror's Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code, e-mail address, point of contact and telephone number. Telephone requests will not be accepted. Solicitation will be available for download on or about 1 May 02. Solicitations and amendments may be downloaded from: http://www.ncsc.navy.mil/Contracts/Ztables/solta b.htm No solicitations or amendments will be mailed to offerors. Therefore, it's incumbent upon the potential offer to be cognitive of the CSS Internet for all releases. However, potential offerors will be notified by e-mail when the solicitation has been released to the COASTSYSTA Internet. Delivery will be to the Coastal Systems Station, Panama City, FL 60 DAC. A Firm-fixed-price commercial item contract is anticipated. Note 1 applies.
