Description
NA The Installation Business Office-Contracting, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, intends to issue a Draft Request for Proposals (RFP) on or after May 1, 2002. The Draft RFP is for the Public Works Business Center at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. It includes the r emoval of existing Halon 1301 fire suppression systems in twenty-one (21) buildings and the design, furnish, and retrofit with FM-200 or an EPA acceptable clean agent in fourteen (14) buildings at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. The Halon 1301 will remain the property of the Government. The recovered Halon 1301 must be properly labeled and shipped to the ODC Reserve Depot, Richmond, Virginia, in Department of Transportation (DOT) approved containers. The purpose of the Draft RFP is to obtain comments from Industry as to the Statement of Work (SOW) language and as to the feasibility of retrofit vs replacement. A determination has not been made to any potential set-asides. The Draft RFP is a preliminary draft that may be undergoing corrections and changes. Potential bidders should not rely on the draft to build their proposals since changes are possible. The actual RFP will be synopsized and issued when all applicable solicitation documents are finaliz ed and available for release. The NAICS Code is 235990 (SIC Code 1799) Special Trade Contractors NEC. Interested parties may access the document from the IBO-C web site http://www.bragg.army.mil/www-doc/Contractors/SOLICIT.HTM. A site visit is currently scheduled for May 15-16, 2002. Advance registration is required due to security precautions at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Only those contractors that have pre-registered with Installation Business Office-Contracting by close of business on May 8, 2002 will be allowed access into all of the buildings. For advance registration for the site visit, please provide Name and Address of Firm, Phone Number, Email Address, names and social security numbers of all personnel planning to attend. Information may be emailed to portere1@bragg.army .mil or mailed to Headquarters, XVIII Airborne & Fort Bragg, Installation Business Office-Contracting (Attn: DAKF40-02-R-0019), Post Office Drawer 70120, Fort Bragg, North Carolina 28307-0120. Transportation will be provided for the site visit. The Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The IBO-C welcomes industry comments and suggestions pertaining to the content of the Dr aft RFP and will use responses to improve the SOW. IBO-C will not issue paper copies of the Draft RFP. The Government will review and consider all comments received; however, IBO-C will not provide responses to the comments received.
