- Combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial item. DESCRIPTION AND ATTACHMENT(s): Provide all personnel, equipment, facilities, supplies, services and materials, for the supply and delivery of 30 crankshafts. Faxed or telegraph offers will be accepted. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and written solicitations will not be issued. Solicitation F48608-02-Q-0011 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-16. (FAR Clauses may be found by accessing WEB site at: farsite.hill.af.mil/ffar1.htm. NAICS Code is 421830 (SIC is 5084). The solicitation is restricted to Small Business. Line Item 0001 is for 15 each crankshaft assy. for a Allis-Chalmers model 7000 diesel generator set with a manufacturer?s code of 6N299 and a manufacturer?s part number of 4337677. Line Item 0002 is for 15 each crankshaft assy. for a Allis-Chalmers model 10000 diesel generator set with a manufacturer?s code of 6N299 and a manufacturer?s part number of 4322512. Each crank shaft must be accompanied by an affidavit from a professional machine shop accredited to magnaflux diesel engine crankshafts certifying that the crankshaft has been magnafluxed and meets all criteria common to the industry for installation in a remanufactured engine. Refer to Attachment?s 3 & 4 for item description and stock numbers. Anticipated award date is 03 May 02. The provisions at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offer(s)--Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items (See attachments 1 & 2), apply to this acquisition. A completed, signed copy to this provision FAR 52.212-3 shall be submitted with any offer. The clause at FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions applies to this acquisition. The clause at FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition.
