- NOUN: Turbine A Blade Set; NSN: 2840-01-469-6107NZ; PN: 4085092; QTY; 233 se; DELIVERY: NOV 2002 to Tinker AFB OK; APPLICABLE TO: F100PW-229 engine. SIZE/DIMENSIONS: 3.91X1.050X0.3685 inch. MATERIAL: PW 1484 single crystal;FORM/FIT/FUNCTION: Take exhaust gas and turt it into mechanical energy to turn the compressor of the 229 engine. Anticipated solicitation issue date: 20 May 2002. Anticipated award date: 20 June 2002. No telephone solicitaton requests well be accepted. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be approved sources. The Government is not required to delay contract award to review pending Source Approval Requests (SARs). Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARs as soon as possible. If the Government has not completed review of the SAR when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and the source will be reviewed for possible Source Approval for future awards. Government Furnished drawings are not available. The award is expected to be made to sole source supplier Pratt & Whitney. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(2). NOTE: An ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the Program Manager or Contracting Officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
