- The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking faith-based and community based organizations that can provide services to veterans for housing of homeless veterans, job placement, training and education having to do with basic levels of literacy, bereavement support; transportation; drug abuse, and mental health treatment. In particular, the DVA is seeking information on qualified faith-based and community-based organizations that can work with the VA Task Force on Faith-Based and Community Issues within the Office of Public and Intergovernmental Affairs (OPIA) to identify opportunities for both organizations to work together for the benefit of veterans through a series of structured meetings, conferences, and information sharing initiatives. If your organization can provide the services sought by VA, please forward a brief statement of capabilities, or marketing literature, to Darrell A. Cooper, CPCM, Senior Contracting Officer, 810 Vermont Avenue, Room 765B (049A3), Washington, D.C. 20420. Facsimile transmissions will not be accepted.
