- Description
- The purpose and intent of this contract is to secure services for precommercial thinning 106 acres of conifer reproduction, approximately 19 to 25 years old. All items of this contract will be part of a Young-Growth Adaptive Management study. Contract time will be 110 calendar days. This project is located in the Hatchery Creek and Coffman Creek areas, near Coffman Cove, on Prince of Wales Island. Prince of Wales Island is part of the Thorne Bay and Craig Ranger Districts and is on the Tongass National Forest in Alaska. The approximate mileage from Thorne Bay to the project area is 44 miles along NFSR 30. This requirement is totally set-aside HUB Zone business concerns. The NAICS code is 115310 and the small business size standard is average annual income of $6 million over the past three years. The solicitation will be posted to FedBizOps for viewing and printing on or about May 1, 2002. Potential offerors are requested to obtain the solicitation via the Internet if at all possible.
