- U.S. GOVERNMENT SEEKS EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR OFFICE SPACE SOUTH KANSAS CITY METROPOLITAN AREA The General Services Administration (GSA) seeks expression of interest from owners and authorized agents of existing, aboveground warehouse and related space, with ceiling height of approximately 24 feet. The Government presently occupies 1,507 ANSI/BOMA Office Area square feet of office space, along with 53,435 ANSI/BOMA Office Area square feet of warehouse space, in the South Kansas City Metro Area. The Government will consider relocation if economically advantageous. The Government will consider agency mission requirements, the cost of moving, alterations, etc. when deciding whether it should relocate. Occupancy would be required by December 12, 2002. AMOUNT: GSA desires to lease approximately 63,183 square feet of BOMA rentable space. Rentable space must yield approximately 54,700 ANSI/BOMA Office Area square feet, available for use by the agency for personnel, furnishings, and equipment. TENANT: Internal Revenue Service (IRS) LOCATION: North: Missouri River, East: Missouri Highway 291, South: Kansas/Missouri 150 Highway, West: Broadway to Interstate Highway 35, extending south to 79th Street, west on 79th as it extends to Interstate 435, south to Pflumm to Highway 150. REQUIRED: Tenant alterations are to be provided as part of the rental consideration. The space offered must conform to GSA requirements for fire and life safety and handicap accessibility. . TERM: Lease will be for a term of five (5) years with the Government having termination rights after the second (2) year with one hundred and eighty days (180) days written notice to the Lessor.
