Description

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Research and Development has a requirement for a contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment and services in order to make miscellaneous electrical improvements as specified in the drawings and specifications at its National Health and Environmental Effects Research Laboratory located in Duluth,Minnesota. The contractor will: provide additional surface mounted 120 volt electrical outlets to existing offices and labs, install new strain relief devices on hanging power cords, install new conduits and wiring as specified, install new ground fault breakers in lieu of GFCI outlets in the Wetlab area, and provide a new electrical subpanel as specified. This work must be accomplished without disruption of the services and utilities supplied to the operations of the laboratories. All project work is inside a working research laboratory area and will require dust and dirt control, and careful coordination and planning to reduce equipment downtime to a minimum of zero. The work shall be performed in compliance with all federal, state and local regulations governing this construction project. In addition to price, the Government's evaluation of proposals will address each offeror's record of past performance. Price and past performance are approximately equal in importance for purposes of proposal evaluation. A six month period of performance is anticipated. The estimated price range is between $75,000 and$100,000. There will be no charge for solicitation documents, which be available on or about 04/25/02.
