- Description
- This Request for Proposal is for the drydock service craft overhaul of the YC-1073 and the YC -1469. This solicitation is a small business set-aside under the NAIC of 336611. The RFP will be issued on or about 01 May 2002. Proposals will be due on or about 31 May 2002. Sources who currently hold, or are qualified for and willing to enter into an Agreement for Boat Repair/Master Ship Repair Agreement (ABR/MSRA) in accordance with DFARS 217.71 prior to award, may submit a proposal which shall be considered by this agency. Firms who do not possess either an ABR or MSRA are ineligible for award unless adequate time exists to permit an assessment of the ABR/MSRA application and to execute the ABR/MSRA agreement(s) without impacting the vessel's availability dates. The YC-1073 and the YC-1469 work includes, but is not limited to: inspection of voids with possible repairs/preserva tion based on inspection; blast, UT, preservation of underwater hull with possible repairs based on inspection; zinc replacement; remove/repair/reinstall rubber fenders; blast and non-skid main deck, and other incidental related . The aforementioned work description will be done on each vessel. YC-1073 size: 110? x 32? x 8?. YC-1469 size: 110?x 35? x 8?. The RFP, when issued, will be available for downloading from the Navy's electronic commerce site www.neco.navy.mil.
