- Description
- This Request for Proposal is for the drydock service craft overhaul of the UF 136, UF 137, UF 138, and UF 139. This solicitation is a small business set-aside under the NAIC of 336611. The RFP will be issued on or about 03 May 2002. Proposals will be due on or about 04 June 2002. Sources who currently hold, or are qualified for and willing to enter into an Agreement for Boat Repair/Master Ship Repair Agreement (ABR/MSRA) in accordance with DFARS 217.71 prior to award, may submit a proposal which shall be considered by this agency. Firms who do not possess either an ABR or MSRA are ineligible for award unless adequate time exists to permit an assessment of the ABR/MSRA application and to execute the ABR/MSRA agreement(s) without impacting the vessel's availability dates. The work includes, but is not limited to: inspection of voids with possible repairs/preservation based on inspection; blast, UT, preservation of underwater hull with possible repairs based on inspection; zinc replacement; rubber fender installation; blast and non-skid main deck, and other incidental related work. Above vessels size: approximately 60? x 15? x 6?. The RFP, when issued, will be available for downloading from the Navy's electronic commerce site www.neco.navy.mil.
