- Description
- Work includes the repairs to the entire Perimeter Fence (approximately 2.5 miles) at NSWCDD, pumpkin neck area. Repairs include but not limited to: fabric replacement, post replacement (steel and wood) barbwire replacement, post straightening, fabric reattachment, barbwire tightening, removal and replacement of sections of damaged fence and posts, removal and replacement of sections of top rail and intermediate rail, patching of holes, replacement of barbwire arms, replacement of tension wire, extending fence down to existing grade, installation of 3 new sets of double gates (gate openings -12') and the installation of a new section of fence to extend the existing fence to the Mean Low Water mark of the Potomac River in the area known as Black Marsh. See drawings. This will be a competitively bid procurement for a firm-fixed price contract. Award will be made on total of line item 0001. The time for completion is 60 days. The estimated cost range is $25,000 to $100,000. The NAICS Code for this project is 23599. In accordance with FAR 5.102(a)(7) availability of the solicitation will be available for download free of charge via the Internet World Wide Web at http://www.esol.navfac.navy.mil (website). Hard copies (paper sets) of the solicitation WILL NOT be provided by the Government. This solicitation is advertised in electronic format only. All documents will be in the Adobe Acrobat PDF file format. The free Acrobat Reader, required to view the PDF files, can be downloaded from the website. The official plan holder?s list will be maintained on and can be printed from the website. -- Plan holders list WILL NOT be faxed and will only be available from the website.
