- The U.S. Geological Survey, Great Lakes Science Center in Michigan has a requirement for construction services consisting of demolition, new construction and electrical at the Great Lakes Science Center. This acquisition is under the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, and materials, and any other items necessary for the completion of the construction services according to the drawings. The demolition requirements are that all temporary dust partitions shall be constructed prior to the demolition. The contractor shall complete all of the demolition on the walk through and shall also verify all measurements in the field. The successful contractor shall demo all walls, doors, etc. per the drawings. The contractor will be responsible to insure all associated power within the area will be in working order. The new construction requirements consists of the contractor completing all work as specified on the walk through, written scope, and all items as shown on the drawings, furthermore the contractor shall do field verifications on measurements and on counts of all items. The contractor shall point out any conflicts between the drawings and area of work during the site visit. The site visit shall be on April 23, 2002 at the Formaline Storage Room Building at the Great Lake Science Center, 1451 Green Road, Ann Arbor, MI. A copy of the drawings will be provided to vendors who attend the site visit. THIS ACQUISITION WILL BE MADE UNDER THE SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION THRESHOLD OF $100,000 and solicited by written Request for Quote (RFQ) No. 02ERSS0013. The anticipated award date is May 28, 2002. NAICS code is 233320. SIC code is 1542. The estimated magnitide of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. Quotes are due at 2:00 p.m. EST on May 7, 2002. All responsible sources who have a valid Dun & Bradstreet Number may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
