Description
NA This proposed procurement is Unrestricted, open to both large and small business concerns. NAICS 233320/ SIC Code 1542, size standard $28,500,000.00. Estimated cost of construction is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. Bonding will be required for t his acquisition. This project is located at Cannon Air Force Base, Curry County, New Mexico. The offerors attention is directed to Section 00100 in the Solicitation for information regarding the tour of the site. The approximate construction period is 450 calendar days. Plans will be issued on or about 30 April 2002, with proposals due on or about 30 May 2002. This solicitation will not be issued in paper. Fire/Crash Rescue Station: The project consist of the construction of the Main Base Fire Station (crash and structural). It includes vehicle bays, alarm control center, training room, physical fitness area, dorm rooms, shower and latrine facilities, equip ment and supply storage, administrative area, kitchen, dining room and dayroom. It also includes all necessary site work, utilities, mechanical, electrical, communications, fire protection and security systems. Demolition of hanger 170 foundations and Fa cility 327 (590 SM) is included in the project. The project will be advertised as a Request for Proposal. Competitive proposals will be evaluated based on the evaluation criteria set forth in the solicitation package. Evaluation by the Government will result in selection of a firm that represents the be st overall value to the Government. Proposed procurement will result in a fixed-price contract. Large business firms are required to submit a subcontracting plan. The subcontracting goals are 61.4% for small business, 9.1% for small disadvantaged business, 5.0% for women owned small business, 1.5% for HUBZone small businesses and 3 % for service disabled veteran owned small business. The subcontracting plan needs to be submitted at time of receipt for proposals. Bidders must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR), in order to receive a Government Contract award. Additionally a paper form for registration may be obtained from the DoD Electronic Commerce Information Center at 1-800-334-3414. THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSU ED USING ELECTRONIC BID SETS (EBS) AND PROVIDED ON COMPACT DISKS-READ ONLY (CD-ROM) AT NO CHARGE TO ALL REGISTERED PLAN HOLDERS. Any prospective bidder interested in bidding on this solicitation must register to be placed on the Plan Holders List. If you a re not registered, the United States Government is not responsible for providing you with notification of any changes to this solicitation. Bidders shall register themselves on the Internet. On the page this brings up click on: Solicitation Number. On the next page titled EBS Albuquerque District, under Solicitation Number, click on the solicitation you?re interested in. On the next screen to come up, go to Solicitation Registration and click on: Register For This Solicitation. If you have not registered previously, click on: New User and follow the instructions for Login Information. Th is will require you to establish a user name and password. The same user name and password may be used to register for other projects in the system without having to repeat the entire registration process. When you register for the Plan Holders List, pleas e complete all requested information. After completing the registration process for this solicitation, verify that your firm?s name appears on the associated Plan Holders List.
