Description

NA Repairs will include drydocking; sandblasting of the hull; application of paint and/or surface coatings; zinc replacement; rudder removal, testing and reinstallation; propeller and tailshaft removal; tailshaft alignment; stern tube inspection and rehabilit ation; utilities and security watch during shipyard period and other miscellaneous repairs. Work shall be completed within a 60 day period. The tug will be delivered to and from the shipyard by Government personnel. All work will be in accordance with t he current rules of the American Bureau of Shipping and the U.S. Coast Guard where applicable for certification of vessels. Bids will be considered only from shipyards having a servicing facility located within 100 air miles of the Cape Cod Canal Field Of fice, Buzzards Bay, MA. Solicitation shall be made available on or about 4/29/02. The applicable NAICS Code for the procurement is 336611 with a Small Business Size Standard of 1,000 employees.
