Description

NA TACOM-RI is preparing to issue a solicitation for a SKID STEER LOADER (SSL). The SSL is ancillary equipment to the Platoon Pioneer Tool Kit. This announcement is to provide offerors advance notification of our intentions and provide offerors with a draft o f the Performance Description (PD-415). The draft PD-415 will be posted to the TACOM-RI Solicitation Information Page by close of business 10 April 2002 and will remain there until 01 May 2002. Any comments or questions must be received no later than close of business 01 May 2002. Description of Skid Steer Loader: NSN: 3805-01-268-8645. The requirement is for Skid Steer Loader of no less than 1500 pounds rated operating capacity and required attachments as described in PD-415. TACOM-RI intends to issue a sy nopsis/solicitation allowing only 15 days for submission of proposals. The award will be based on non-price and price factors. Non-price factors will include technical, supportability, and small business participation. Offerors who are large business will be required to submit a Subcontracting Plan. The synopsis/solicitation will result in a five-year indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract for the production of approximately 400 loaders (quantity subject to change). The minimum guaranteed quantity is 200. The website address to view the draft PD-415 is: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm. Once in the website, click on Draft Solicitations/Specifications/Scopes of Work. After reviewing the draft PD-415, interested offerors should notify the contract specialist of their interest in receiving notification of the solicitation and any comments or questions. The cut-off date for receipt of questions or comments to the Draft PD-415 is 01 May 02. The estimated date of issuing the synopsis/solic itation is 31 May 2002.
