- Description
- The Precision Strike Systems Program Office, Air Armament Center, Eglin AFB Florida, plans to award a sole source contract to Northrop Grumman Systems Corp. (NGC), Electronics Systems, Defensive Systems Division, Rolling Meadows, IL to continue current effort to fabricate and integrate Signature Augmentation Systems for use in ground chamber testing. This effort is to support Miniature Air Launched Decoy (MALD) System Development and Demonstration (SDD) risk reduction by addressing producibility and also electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) concerns between the MALD Signature Augmentation Subsystem (SAS) and a GPS subsystem. NGC-Rolling Meadows is currently working under a subcontract for the MALD Advanced Concept Technology Development (ACTD), which is in the process of being closed out. This sole source contract is a follow-on to MALD SAS subcontract efforts on Contract F08626-96-C-0168, performed by NGC-Rolling Meadows. Required efforts include finalizing SAS and Global Positioning System (GPS) design changes for production, fabrication of pre-production hardware, developmental testing (DT) and analysis to verify performance in accordance with the NGC-Rolling Meadows data package as well as integration into a simulated MALD like vehicle for government ground chamber testing. The sole source firm fixed price award is anticipated to be valued at approximately $400,000.00.
