- This announcement constitutes the synopsis only. The Government is anticipating awarding a commercial performance based contract for door repair services. Contractor will be required to provide all management, tools, equipment and labor necessary for total door repair services on Lackland AFB, Kelly Field Annex, Wilford Hall Medical Center, and Medina Annex. Door types include medium test cell doors, fire doors, curtain roller doors, automatic sectional doors, overhead doors, automatic pedestrian doors, hollow metal doors, solid glass panel doors, hangar doors, and any other types. Total door repair includes but is not limited to the door itself, all mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and optical parts of the door. Major repairs include, but are not limited to, total replacement of doors, casings, closures and associated electronic hardware. General repairs include, but are not limited to, adjusting or replacing closures or their associated parts; replacing belts, pulleys and pins; repairing, adjusting, or replacing motors, door seals and tracks. The period of performance for the basic period is 01 Jul 2002 to 30 Sep 2002, with an additional 4 option years (01 Oct 2002 through 30 Sep 2003), (01 Oct 2003 through 30 Sep 2004), (01 Oct 2004 through 30 Sep 2005), and (01 Oct 2005 through 30 Sep 2006). Contractor is required to comply with all Federal, State, City and Base rules/regulations/laws as they pertain to permits for welding, digging (underground excavation) or cutting. This acquisition will be made under a 100% total small business set aside. The NAICS code is 811310. The size standard is $6.0 million. A written Request for Quote (RFQ) will be posted on this website shortly. The estimated date of issue for the solicitation is 01 May 2002. All interested parties must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) as prescribed in DFARS 252.204-7004 & 252.232-7009. CCR can be obtained by accessing the internet or by calling 1-888-227-2423. Vendors not registered in the CCR database prior to award will be ineligible for award.
