- 17. The work to be performed involves the upgrade of a water treatment facility, to include a new building to house the treatment and pumping equipment, all the pumping and treatment equipment and a new 85,000 gallon storage tank. An existing 85,000 gallon storage tank will remain and continue in service. The new building will contain a total of approximately 1,600 gross square feet at the Red Rock Job Corps Center located in Lopez, Pennsylvania. The estimated period of performance for construction is scheduled for 308 calendar days from receipt of notice to proceed through completion of the project. The estimated cost range is from $250,000 to $500,000. Plans and specifications will be available on April 29, 2002, ONLY from the firm of Levkulic Associates, Union Street Station, 101 East Union Street, Pottsville, PA 17901. Contact Mr. John Levkulic at (570) 628-2887 for additional information regarding this project. Collect calls will not be accepted. It is emphasized that requests for plans and specifications MUST be in writing and submitted to Levkulic Associates at the time of request to ensure proper handling. Requests will be limited to the issuance of one (1) complete set per request for any interested party. Plans and specifications will be made available for pick-up at the A/E's office, or may be arranged for delivery at an additional charge. Any additional shipping and/or handling charges must be pre-paid and COD requests will not be accepted. All requests MUST be in writing and will be answered on a first-come, first-serve basis until the initial supply is exhausted. For requests made after the supply is exhausted, the Contracting Officer may determine whether payment of a fee is warranted. The non-refundable fee shall not exceed the actual cost of duplication of the IFB documents, plus a shipping charge (if applicable) will be required in order to obtain the IFB document. A pre-bid walk-through is scheduled for May 10, 2002, at 11:00 a.m. local time at the Center. This will be the only opportunity to review the job site prior to submission of bids. The Bid Opening Date is scheduled for May 28, 2002, at 2:00 p.m. local time at the A/E's office. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 233320. The Small Business Size Standard is $28.5 million. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside acquisition. "HUBzone", small disabled veterans, woman-owned, small disadvantaged businesses, 8(a) businesses, and small businesses are encouraged to apply.
