Description
Notice of Intent. The U.S. Customs Service intends to procure one each of the following items: (1) Avator 360 e.s.p. FT-IR Spectrometer System, #912A0404; (2) one-year on-site warranty #701070400; (3) Avator English Language Kit, #699059200; (4) Omnic E.S.P. Help and Tutorials for Avatar 360, #834004500; (5) Basic Omnic CD software package, #833009000; (6) OMNI Sampler for Avatar, #8690028897; (7) Smart Accessory Software 32 BIT CD (must select), #834022600; (8) Laptop Computer, #912A0413; (9) Val-Q Evaluation Software, #834025900; (10) Val-Q DS Software, Package #834027900; (11) Val-Q Installation, Certification, #840078000; (12) HP Desk Jet High Quality Color Printer 120V/240V HP Desk Jet 990 C or equal; Pringer cable and USB Cable included #840051300, and (13) Purge Kit including Regulator, Filter, Flow, Gauge, Plumbing Assembly, 470089800. U.S. Customs Service requires this equipment and these instruments which are equipped with "smart accessories" that can be swapped between instruments rendering them more versatile for Customs needs. In addition, the current instrument is equipped with a large database of infra-red sspectra. Upon receipt of the second instrument mentioned above, U.S. Customs Service can load the database onto a new computer of the same software. Equipment will be delivered to U.S. Customs Service, Chicago Laboratory, 1100, Chicago, IL 60607. This requirement will be processeed under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satify agency requirements. The intended source is Thermo Nicolet, 5226 Verona Road, Madison, WI 53711. This notice of intent is not a solicitation for competitive proposals. See numbered note 22.
